IAE History

IAE was established in 1969 by Frank Klucznik who came to England from his home in Poland as part of the armed forces during the Second World War, eventually settling in the farming town of Leek in North Staffordshire. Frank began his working life in Britain with a Leek based agricultural manufacturers known as Gush & Dent. It was here that Frank gained and developed his manufacturing skills that would see him manufacturing and delivering his own brand of farming equipment. His products were in such demand and of such good quality that people coming into the Leek area with no precise location details were repeatedly told on their enquiry "Oh yes, its that pole in Leek you want". This phrase was to stick with the company from then onwards still featuring prominently on the front of all IAE's trucks.

It was in 1969 that Frank decided delivering his own products would be much better than hiring someone else to do it for him, so a Bedford TK lorry was bought for the purpose. He rapidly developed into an own account operator of some standing as IAE became one of the leading UK manufacturers of livestock equipment and steel railings. Today IAE is still a family owned company, however, due to continuous growth and improvements to the company, it has meant a major move to nearby Longton in Stoke-on-Trent has recently taken place.

Many standard fences are available from stock and on special projects we can advise on the most efficient and best way to supply your design. We are continually working with Architects, Specifiers, Local Government and Contractors and will supply technical drawings for approval when required.
